Privacy Policy

Featherweight does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Your weigh-ins never reach a server we operate, because we do not operate one.

What the app stores

Your weigh-ins, height, goal weight, unit preference and reminder settings are stored locally on your device.

iCloud sync

If you are signed into iCloud, that same information is mirrored to your own private iCloud storage so it follows you to another Apple device. This is your iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it and cannot read it.

Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, the app reads your step count and body weight, and writes the weigh-ins you log back to Health so other apps and smart scales stay in sync. This happens entirely on your device. Health data is never transmitted anywhere by Featherweight, and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

Notifications

Weigh-in reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved and no device token is collected.

Tips (in-app purchases)

Tips are optional and unlock nothing. Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we receive no payment details and cannot identify who tipped. See Apple's privacy policy for how purchases are processed.

Data you export

The backup feature produces a plain text file containing your weigh-ins and settings, and hands it to your device's share sheet. Where it goes from there — Files, Notes, email — is entirely your choice, and the app keeps no copy.

Children

Featherweight is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. To remove the iCloud copy, turn off iCloud Drive for Featherweight in your device settings. Weigh-ins written to Apple Health are managed in the Health app, and can be deleted there.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
